Check Any Used Car (https://checkanyusedcar.com) is operated by Wikivec Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”). By connecting Check Any Used Car to an AI assistant or using this website you agree to these terms.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for activity on your account.

What the service does

Check Any Used Car lets AI assistants such as Claude look up vehicles by VIN. Vehicle specifications, recalls, complaints and crash ratings come from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. History reports come from the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) through VinAudit, an approved NMVTIS data provider, and may include VinAudit's own records.

A history report shows what was reported to those sources. It is not an inspection, a guarantee of a vehicle's condition or history, or advice to buy. Records can be missing, late or wrong, and the AI assistant's reading of a report can be wrong. Have a vehicle inspected before you buy it.

Title, brand and odometer records come from the National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS), supplied through VinAudit, an approved NMVTIS data provider. NMVTIS relies on states, insurers and salvage yards to report; a vehicle can have problems that no one reported. Not affiliated with Carfax or AutoCheck.

Acceptable use

• Use reports to evaluate vehicles you are considering, own, sell or work on.
• Don't try to identify or locate a vehicle's owners, or use the service to track or harass anyone.
• Don't resell or republish reports, or run automated bulk lookups.
• Don't try to get around usage limits, for example with many accounts, or disrupt the service.

Plans and payment

VIN decoding is free, up to 60 lookups a day. Paid plans include a set number of history reports per billing period (8 a month on the monthly plan, 60 a year on the yearly plan); unused reports don't carry over. A lookup that fails isn't counted. Plans renew automatically until you cancel; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice for existing subscribers.

Availability

The service depends on third parties (the AI assistant you use, NHTSA, NMVTIS and VinAudit, and our hosting providers) and may be interrupted or changed. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
